Jabuka Strudel - Apple Strudel
We use only the freshest organic apples both sweet and tart with our special mixture to create the perfect filling within the lightest, buttery, flakiest philo dough. It has long been a favorite Croatian dessert, served at both breakfast and after the evening meal. Originally created for Pope Alexander III in 1177 when bad weather forced him to harbor on Rab Island, off of Croatia on the Adriatic Sea. While there he dedicated the Annunciation Cathedral on Rab Island and the strudel along with the famous Croatian Rab Cake were created for this special event.
